Waterproofing brick and mortar with pump sprayer Formerly called MasonrySaver with SaltShield, this is the "Work Horse" product to use on horizontal concrete and masonry surfaces that are exposed to chlorides from road or sea salts. Whereas ChimneySaver works better on vertical masonry, this product works better on horizontal surfaces because of its optimized blend of modified siloxane and our unique “chloride screen,” SaltShield. DEFY All-Purpose Heavy-Duty Water Repellent is water-based and easy to use; simply apply to a clean dry surface with low pressure spray. It penetrates up to ¼” or more depending on the porosity of the surface. Average coverage rate is about 125 sq. ft. per gallon.
